Master and PhD in Linguistics of Text and Discourse by the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil, with a one year scolarship at the Center D'Analyse du Discours of Université Paris 13, France.

Post-doctorate fellowship at the Laboratoire Communication et Politique of the Center Nationale de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Paris, France.

Member of the Rhetoric and Argumentation research group at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG)
