Alliance Française at Brasília

Since December 2020, as Communication and Culture Coordinator at Aliança Francesa de Brasília, I was in charge of the strategic planning, creation, review and editing of content and multimedia communication campaigns, online and offline, as well as the institution's cultural activities. I was also responsible, together with the local management of the French Alliance in Brazil's Capital, of national and international cultural events organization, held in partnership with the French Embassy in Brazil, the Alliance Française Network Brazil, the Goethe-Zenthrum Brasília, the Brasília Cluster EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture), the SESC-DF, the Fondation des Alliances Françaises, the Institut Français, among others. Below are some examples of the institution's actions and projects for which I worked in the last two years.

I Franco-German Winter Festival (IFA) - virtual reality and immersive cultures (Jun.2022)

Conception of the project approved by the Fonds Culturel Franco-Allemand (Ministère des Affaires étrangères allemand, Institut français, Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères). Coordination of production, content and communication of the event.

 

9 days of hybrid and entirely free activities at the Franco-German Cultural Center and at SESC-DF units in Brasília to discuss gender equality: interactive installations of digital design and virtual reality (VR), mapping, virtual reality metaverse (CVR) ), music, cinema, visual arts, stand up comedy, collaborative exhibition, webinars, face-to-face debate, DJ performances, urban arts (graffiti, rap battle, street dance) and a photography workshop.

Festival Hors Pistes - the ecology of images (Nov-Dec/2021)

Festival of all forms of image, where international and local visual works reflect on the world we live in. The theme of the Parisian edition is revisited here by a Brazilian version. This project is proposed by the French Alliances and the French Embassy in Brazil in the context of Digital November, in partnership with the Pompidou Center, the Institut Français, A Pilastra and the Curta Brasília Festival.

Webinar Series - Autumn Encounters: Nightfall with Cinefilia and French Culture  (May 2021)

Academic-cultural meeting with scholars of cinema, communication, mythology, letters, literature and/or philosophy on topics covered in famous French cinematography films.

Night of Ideas (Jan.2021)

Second Brazilian edition of the annual international event dedicated to the exchange of ideas and knowledge, with the theme “Nearest”, held by the French Embassy in partnership with the Alliance Française Brazil Network and the Institut Français.

Francophone week (Mar. 2022)

Traditional week of cultural activities held around the world to celebrate the culture plurality in French-speaking countries. Event organized in Brazil by the Alliances Françaises in partnership with several embassies of French-speaking countries, with in-person and online activities.

Alliance Française Song Festival (Oct. 2021)

National contest of musical performances in French language, to promote the diversity of francophone culture in the world, for 15 years. Organized by the Alliance Française Brazil Network, in partnership with the French Embassy in Brazil, AirFrance, What the France, Festival MAMA and ClubMed.

Webinar - Women in Politics: what are the challenges? How to face them? (Mar. 2021)

Live organized by the French Embassy in Brazil, Aliança Francesa de Brasília, Embassy of Mexico, UN Women, with the participation of political representatives from Brazil and France: Manuela d'Ávila (PCdoB), Laurence Rossignol (PS), Sonia Guajajara ( PSOL), Anne Blanc (LREM) and Dorinha Seabra Rezende (DEM), mediated by Ana Dubeux, from Correio Braziliense.
